(May 6, 2019): Painter – Going Down The Road

K-SHE Classic. From the 1973 self-title album, Painter (Elektra ‎– EKS – 75071). This Danny sweetmeatLowe band from Edmonton would move to Seattle and sign with Elecktra for this debut LP. After the follow up fizzled and Electrak dropped them, they changed lineup and name to Hammersmith in 1974. “West Coast Woman” was a top 20 hit off this LP. I can recall recording the enitire album on the K-SHE the Seventh Day program when I was 13. I still have the Memorex cassette, though it is missing the pressure pad.
