(April 25, 2016): Lonnie Mack – Chicken’ Pickin’

From the a-side of the 1965 single, Chicken’ Pickin’ / Honky Tonk ’65.  This was recording during the period (from 1964 to 1969) that Mack put out a 16 singles while working as a session musician with the Twilighters on recordings by James Brown, Freddie King, Hank Ballard, The Doors, and others.  If you go to Lonnie Mack’s official website, this is the tune that opens up without prompt.  The tune is also a bonus track on the first side of the 1970 and 1985 re-release of Mack’s first long-player, The Wham of that Memphis Man!
