(January 31, 2016): Barclay James Harvest – Poor Boys Blues/Mill Boys/For No One

K-SHE Classic.  From the 1974 album, Everyone Is Everybody Else.  The band’s first sweetmeatrelease on the Polydor label.  So far as I can recall these three songs were alway played seamlessly every time they were played in St. Louis.  Poor Boys is a Les Holroyd composition and Mill Boys and For No One are down to John Lees.  Rodger Bain produced the LP, which seemed incongruous because he previously produced for Black Sabbath and Judas Priest.  Despite, or maybe because of this, the result was outstanding.  Heavy in the right places and slow.
