(January 19, 2016): Acoustic Alchemy – Drake’s Drum

From the 1988 album, Natural Elements.  Stewart Coxhead writes in the liner notes that this tune is meant to invoke Sir Francis Drake who he reports carried a band on his ships to entertain the crew at meal times.  The LP is said to have been recorded on a “rather battered cassette player” in an area on the south coast of England called New Forest.
