(December 13, 2015): Jeff Lange – Jack-A-Roe

From the 2011 album, Carried In Mind.  Lange is an Australian guitar player and singer that has been releasing solo material since 1992, sixteen long players in all.  Early on he played with the likes of Albert Collins and Rory Gallagher.  This tune is a traditional folk ballad from the mid-19th Century that’s gone by a number of different names.  It’s been covered by Bob Dylan (World Gone Wrong) and The Grateful Dead (Reckoning) as “Jack-a-Roe”.
