(July 7, 2015): Cornel Campbell – The Sun

From the 1975 album, Natty Dread in a Greenwich Farm.  Campbell started off at Studio One in the early 1960s and was part of at least two bands (the Uniques and the Eternals) while recording there.  In the early 1970s he went solo and shifted to Bunny Lee’s studio. Bunny Lee produces here.  The mixing is King Tubby.  And the backing band is the Aggrovators.   Campbell is mostly known for his falsetto lovers rock tunes, like this one, although he did record some rasta in the 1970s.
