(May 31, 2015): Bombino – Tigrawahi Tikma (Bring Us Together)

From the 2011 double album, Agadez.  This album takes its name from Omar “Bombino” Moctar’s home town in Niger.  He lived in Algeria and Libya as a refugee on account of the Tuareg Rebellion when he was a teenager.  In the late 1990s he returned to Agadez and his music often addresses local Tuareg political concerns following a second Tuareg rebellion in 2007 (which saw guitars banned for use by the Tuareg).
