(April 30, 2015): Jerry Jerome & His Country Club Orchestra – I’ve Got My Love To Keep Me Warm

From the 1956 album, Country Club Saturday Night.  Jerry Jerome got around.  Not only did he lead (including for NBC), but he played tenor with Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, Charlie Christian, Red Norvo, and so on. While I remember this Irving Berlin song more as a Christmas tune than a normal pop number, it was not always so.  Les Brown’s instrumental version hit the charts in 1949 out of season.
