(June 14, 2014): Wojciech Kilar – Krzesany

From the 2002 album, Angelus, Exodus, Krzesany.  This piece was recorded in 1997 at Grzegorz Fitelberg Concert Hall, Katowice, Poland.  It is performed by the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra with Antoni Wit conducting.  Also appearing is the Cracow Philharmonic Chorus.  Kilar died last December 29th. He belonged to the Polish avant-garde movement of the Sixties and was well known as a composer of film scores, working with directors such as Francis Ford Coppola, and Jane Campion.
