(May 30, 2014): Sky – Taking The Long Way Home

K-SHE Classic.  From the band’s 1971, second and final album, Sailor’s Delight.  A short sweetmeatlived Detroit band that was driven by Doug Fieger (who went on to found The Knack). Before they signed with RCA, they had  gained exposure by openning for Traffic, The Who, Joe Cocker, Jethro Tull, the Jeff Beck Group, Bob Seger and Iggy Pop.  This album includes appearances by Jim Price (a sideman for a huge number of artists including George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Peter Frampton, Fanny, etc) and Ian Stewart (a co-founder of the Rolling Stones who despite being kicked out appeared on almost all Stone’s albums from 1964-1986).
