(May 19, 2014): Carl Perkins – Boppin’ the Blues

Back on deck after projects in Yangon and Rarotonga. This is from the 1957 album, Dance Album of *** Carl Perkins.  Not one to make it big financially at the outset, but Perkins’ music has had and still has a lasting influence on rockers.  I remember reading that George Harrison played at Perkins’ funeral in 1998 and saying his licks owed a lot to Perkins.
