(Nov 17, 2013): Bob Dylan and The Band – You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere

From the 1975 double album, The Basement Tapes.  This LP side four opener, recorded as take 2 in 1967, was well know from covers (Joan Baez) and bootlegs (eg WW2: Stealin and John Birch Society) prior to its official release in 1975.  Indeed, a number of covers are legendary (especially the Byrds and the latter McGuinn and Hillman rendition).  Unfortunately, no Levon Helm on this tune.  He had left The Band briefly when this was recorded.
