(Aug 31, 2013): Hot Tuna – John’s Other

K-SHE Classic.  From the 1971 album, First Pull Up, Then Pull Down.  Hot Tuna was sweetmeatoriginally a side project for Jefferson Airplane members Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen.  Papa John Creech, also playing full-time with Jefferson Airplane at the time, guested on this LP.  I always thought that the song title referred to Creech’s “other” band, but who knows.  The album was recorded live at Chateau Liberte in Los Gatos, CA.  The album title refers to the instructions on toilet seat protector dispensers.

Much too popular to be a classic, but the favorite from the LP is “Keep Your Lamp’s Trimmed and Burning”.
