(Aug 29, 2013): Pure Prairie League – Country Song

K-SHE Classic.  From the 1972 self-title debut album, Pure Prairie League.  An incredible sweetmeatalbum during an incredible time for country rock — Allman Brothers, Poco, NRPS, Burritos, CDB, Marshall Tucker, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Grinderswitch, Alvin Bishop, Dickey Betts, Eagles, etc.  This tune was written by Cliff Stepp (under the name of T.P. Waterhouse) who played with George Powell before there was a Pure Prairie League.  I was always impressed the Craig Fuller (guitar and vocals) had played for J.D. Blackfoot on another classic album, The Ultimate Prophecy
