(July 19, 2013): Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe – Shake It Out

From the 2009 album, Brother’s Keeper.   Karl Denson started out as a jazz player in the early 1980s releasing LPs with the likes of Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette, Pee Wee Ellis, etc.  He moved sideways as a member of Lenny Kravitz’s band.  He’s been part of Greyboy Allstars, teamed up with Soulive in 2012, as well as releasing material solo and with Tiny Universe.  This LP has an impressive line up including Marc Ford (Black Crowes, Ben Harper), Jon Foreman (Switchfoot), Kenneth Crouch (Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz), Zak Najor (The Greyboy Allstars), Shawn Banks (Burnt Sugar), Laura Reed, Debrissa McKinney (Deep pocket), Cochemea Gastelum (Dap Kings, Antibalas).
