(May 19, 2013): East Village Opera Company – When I Am Laid In Earth Redux

From the 2005 self-titled sophomore release, East Village Opera Company.   A reworking of “Dido’s Lament,” the commonly used name for “When I Am Laid In Earth”.  It comes from from Henry Purcell’s opera, Dido and Aeneas (libretto by Nahum Tate).  It is played in London at the Cenotaph every November on the old Armistice Day.
