(May 7, 2013): Sun Ra and His Outer Space Arkestra – Nuclear War

From the 1982 album, A Fireside Chat With Lucifer.  It was also released as a single with “Sometimes I’m Happy”.  It is probably one of the most covered pieces of anything Sun Ra did — e.g,  Yo La Tengo, IG Culture, Madlib, and others — not that much by Sun Ra has been covered.  Curious it should be so for a song with the repeating chant “Nuclear War, they’re talking about Nuclear War/It’s a motherf***er, don’t you know/if they push that button, your ass gotta go/and whatcha gonna do without your ass.”
