(Feb 17, 2013): Local Natives – Wooly Mammoth

From the 2013 sophomore album, Hummingbird.  From the Feb 4 New Yorker, “Night Life”:  “The Local Natives, whose 2009 début, the self-funded “Gorilla Manor,” dazzled critics, returns with its much anticipated second album, “Hummingbird,” which was co-produced by Aaron Dessner of the National. Judging from the advance single, “Breakers,” the quartet has retained and possibly perfected its collaborative capacity, blending tribal percussion, full-throttled guitars, and ethereal harmonies into energetic pop.”
