(Nov 29, 2012): Bloodrock – Kool-Aid-Kids

K-SHE Classic.  From the 1971 album, Bloodrock 3.  Despite the creepy band name and the even creepier, but better known tune, DOA, Bloodrock still produced some decent hard rock.  This song evokes thoughts of Tom Wolf’s “Electric Kool Aid Acid Test” and early Kool Aid commericials.  The lyrics are a sort of attempt at social commentary, but like Grand Funk, don’t quite make it.  Still the tune rocks hard and “it has a good beat”.
