(Nov 10, 2012 – Sat. bonus): Mick Farren – Half Price Drinks

From the 1978 album, Vampires Stole My Lunch Money.  Farren was ultimately more of a writer than a musician, with a prolific novel output (not that I’ve really read anything) and work with NME and Los Angeles CityBeat.  Here, though, he is reprising his other life as singer with The Deviants in the late 1960s. This tune was the a-side single from the album.  Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders) is on backing vocals and Larry Wallis (Blodwyn Pig/UFO) is on guitar.
