(Sep 27, 2012): The Who – Pure and Easy

K-SHE Classic. From the 1974 outtakes and rarities album, Odds and Sods.  The tune was originally written for the never to be Lighthouse project that was to follow-up Tommy.  The first issue of the LP had a color poster of The Who’s 1973 North American tour. And, indeed, the idea behind Odds and Sods was to beat the concert bootleggers to the punch by releasing previously unavailable material.  A solo version of the song was first released on Pete Townshend’s 1972 album, Who Came First.
